If your favorite super hero can’t rock the eight string bass, that super hero ain’t so super, and you know it. Just so you know, Kerlin is circling the planet RIGHT NOW turning back time to correct all mistakes with said bass in hand.
Favorite track: The Unthreaded Needle(Plundered World).
"Glaring Omission kicks off with an awesome jam featuring fellow Solar Motel denizen Ryan Jewell that calls to mind Future Days-era Can, Peter locking in with the drummer over a burbling wash of violin and keys. Beautiful. Another highlight is the solo “Remember This One, Maat?” — a lovely, meditative example of Kerlin’s exceptional musicianship and imagination." - Tyler Wilcox, Aquarium Drunkard
GLARING OMISSION is a collection of pieces featuring the 8 string bass - like the 12 string guitar - also known as the octave bass. I was fortunate to be accompanied, in various configurations, by the brilliant musicians listed below.
It was while I was trying to crack the code on this instrument, as this material was forming, that I lost an old friend to a tragic accident. The material here became emotionally linked with that loss and disorientation; hence the image of Maat on the cover, here, which I took of him at Lincoln Woods State Park in Rhode Island in fall of 1998. The album is dedicated to his family and friends.

Now to spin this and take flight.
As a former card carrying member of jamband scene this would have fit nicely back in the late 60's-70's and the late 90's-00's when improvisational jams were king.
This is going to take the scene into another direction with Garcia Peoples.
